For 80 years, UNICEF has worked to protect every child’s right to survive, grow and reach their full potential. The organization was founded after World War II with the mission to restore hope to children and families, and continues to stand by the world’s most vulnerable children to this day - no matter who they are or where they live.
This anniversary is not only a moment to look back at eight decades of impact, solidarity and progress, but also a call to look ahead. Because millions of children still face conflict, poverty, inequality and crisis - and every child still deserves safety, opportunity and hope.

Health and Early Childhood Development
In the first years of life, thousands of babies and young children do not receive sufficient medical care and support.
With your donation, UNICEF provides individual support, early intervention, and care for the most vulnerable families.
Education
There are still children who do not have equal access to quality education and an inclusive school environment where they feel accepted and supported.
UNICEF works to ensure that every child can learn, develop, and be part of a school that supports them and gives them a chance for the future.
Protection
Every second child and young person in Bulgaria has experienced some form of violence, and every third child has been a victim of physical violence.
Through a network of partners and services, UNICEF protects children’s rights, provides psychological and social support, and works to prevent violence.
Emergency Response
During disasters, conflicts, or emergency situations, children are often the most vulnerable.
UNICEF provides emergency assistance, protection, and access to essential services for children and their families when they need it most.
For 80 years, UNICEF has been working in over 190 countries to protect children’s rights and give them hope, no matter how challenging the world may be.
