Thousands of children at risk after powerful earthquakes strike Venezuela

An estimated 3.9 million children live in the areas affected by the powerful 7.5 and 7.2 magnitude earthquakes that struck Venezuela on 24 June, putting thousands of children and families at risk.
Homes and buildings have collapsed across affected areas, including Caracas and La Guaira, leaving families in urgent need of shelter, clean water and medical care.
Early reports confirm dozens of lives lost and hundreds injured, with fears that the number will rise as rescue efforts continue.
Local UNICEF teams are on the ground working to deliver urgent, life-saving support to children and families.
